Three small towns hug the boundaries of the map. Jack’s Bay, Ontario, the northern part of the Canadian Shield. Terrence Point Mountain, British Columbia. Ski country.
Then there’s Refuge Bay, on the edge of Chesapeake Bay, held in the ocean’s embrace.
Miles apart. Worlds different. With quirky characters, and serious ones. Those who’ve come back from the military and are still looking to find their way.
And some who have never left.
Some will find new love. Some will find–incredibly–that their old loves are still there.
But the men know that they were always meant to protect others. Now, in their new life, too. And sure. That changes everything. Makes the path harder.
But there’s also one thing every single person in the towns agrees on—no matter sometimes they’d like to turn tail, and run.
*Edna’s coming, gang. Run. Faster!*
There’s nowhere else they’d rather be. Ever.
